Country Thunder Music Festival will be in full swing today. Most of the campers and festival goers are now on site. Saskatchewan RCMP have appreciated the overall co-operation of the public as there have been very few problems with traffic entering the festival site.

RCMP want to remind everyone that we are conducting enforcement and patrols not just on the festival grounds, but throughout the area highways surrounding the Craven valley. Our Saskatchewan Combined Traffic Services units will have a strong presence to ensure everyone has a fun and safe weekend on the local highways. CTSS issued a total of 55 traffic tickets, 77 warning tickets, located 4 people on outstanding warrants, issued 2 roadside driving suspensions and charged 2 drivers for prohibited driving under the Criminal Code.

Overnight RCMP on site were required to arrest 10 individuals who were lodged in cells. 6 adult males were arrested for causing disturbances and being intoxicated. One adult male was arrested for uttering threats and was charged with failing to comply with his probation order. Two youth females and one adult female were arrested and lodged for being intoxicated and causing disturbances.
