On 2019-12-28 at approximately 05:00 hrs, Yorkton RCMP Detachment responded to a complaint of a break and enter and robbery with firearms at a residence outside Yorkton.  Multiple suspects fled the scene with property and a stolen vehicle, no injuries were sustained by the victim.   A short time later, all suspects were located and apprehended at a residence in Yorkton without incident.  Multiple search warrants were executed leading to the recovery of the stolen vehicle and property.  As a result, the following individuals have been charged:

Cody WHITECAP (23) of Yorkton, SK

– Robbery, Sec. 344 CC

– Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000, Sec. 354(1)(a) CC

– Pointing a Firearm, Sec. 87 CC

– Possess of Weapon While Prohibited, Sec. 109(1) CC

– Possess a Firearm Without a Licence, Sec. 92(1) CC

– Fail to Comply Probation Sec. 733.1(1) CC

– Remanded in custody to appear in Yorkton Provincial Court on 2020-01-09

Male Youth
