Prince Albert RCMP investigating armed robbery

On January 9, 2026, around 11:00 a.m., Prince Albert RCMP received a report of an armed robbery in the community of Little Red River.

Investigation determined two suspects went to a house in the community of Little Red River with a shotgun and demanded keys to the resident’s truck, in which they fled. No injuries were reported to police.

At approximately 1:15 p.m., RCMP officers located the stolen truck on Sturgeon Lake First Nation. They attempted a traffic stop, but the vehicle backed into a ditch and the occupants fled. After a short foot pursuit, the driver and two passengers were arrested without incident.

As a result of investigation, 35-year-old Karalynn Naytowhow from Montreal Lake CreeNation, 20-year-old Lacey Halkett-Turner from the community of Little Red River and 40-year-old Clarence Turner from Sturgeon Lake First Nation are each charged with:

  • one count, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, Section 354(1), Criminal Code.

Karalynn Naytowhow is also charged with:

  • three counts, armed robbery, Section 344(1)(b), Criminal Code;
  • one count, break and enter with intent, Section 348(1)(a), Criminal Code;
  • one count, pointing a firearm, Section 87, Criminal Code;
  • three counts, possession of weapon for dangerous purpose, Section 88, Criminal Code; and
  • one count, firearms possession contrary to order, Section 117.01(1), Criminal Code.

Clarence Turner is also charged with:

  • one count, flight from peace officer, Section 320.17, Criminal Code; and
  • one count, resist/obstruct peace officer, Section 129(a), Criminal Code.

Karalynn Naytowhow, Clarence Turner and Lacey Halkett-Turner appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court on January 12, 2026 (Information #90543617, 90543552, and 90543553).

Prince Albert RCMP continue the investigation into the identity of one of the suspects from the armed robbery.
