On December 17, 2025 at approximately 2:25 p.m., Broadview RCMP received a report of a collision near the intersection of Highway #1 and Highway #201, approximately two kilometers east of Broadview, SK.
Officers responded immediately, along with local EMS. Investigation determined two semis collided. A third semi then left the roadway; investigators are determining whether it was also involved in the collision or took evasive action to avoid it.
The driver of one of the semis involved in the initial collision was declared deceased at the scene by EMS. He has been identified as a 33-year-old male from Winnipeg, MB. His family has been notified.
The driver and passenger in the other semi involved in the initial collision were taken to hospital by EMS with injuries described as non-life-threatening in nature.
The driver of the third semi did not report injuries to police.
Highway #1 was temporarily closed but has since been reopened.
Broadview RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
