Edith Margaret Osze passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at the St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan at the age of 82 years. Edith was born in Wakaw to Jim & Irene Osze. She grew up in Wakaw and left home to work at a very young age. She was from a large family of 12. The house at mom’s was always a buzz, with new husbands, kids and grandchildren. Family was important to her, coming from a large family, there was always a wedding, new babies coming and the latest Osze reunion every year. Edith is survived by her daughter Bonnie Asselin, her granddaughters Kristyn (Landon) and Brandi Lee (Kaelan). She will be missed by her siblings: Irene Abrook, Clara Bakstad, Kenneth (Gladys) Osze, Peter (Chris) Osze, Betty (Allan) Rybchynski, Mary Ann Sinclair, Gerald Osze, and Shirley (Denis) Lalonde; as well as several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Edith was predeceased by her parents Jim and Irene Osze as well as her brothers Mike, Albert and Eugene. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at St. Paul’s Hospital for their support and compassion for Edith. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church in Wakaw, SK on Saturday, March 9 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Fr. Matthew Nguyen as celebrant. Interment will follow at the St. Theresa Roman Catholic Cemetery. Donations in memory of Edith may be directed to the Lakeview Pioneer Lodge Rec. Department.
