Lake Country Co-op raises a record $23,914.22 for local non-profit organizations through Fuel Good Day 2025.

Lake Country Co-op is proud to celebrate the
success of this year’s Fuel Good Day, held on September 16, 2025. Thanks to the
incredible support of their members, customers, and community partners, a total of
$23,914.22 was raised in support of seven local non-profit organizations.
Fuel Good Day brings communities together by giving back where it matters most. On
this day, 10¢ from every litre of fuel sold, along with $1 from every Co-operative Coffee
and Big Cool Slush, was donated directly to the chosen organizations. This year,
participating locations included Air Ronge, Big River, La Ronge, Nipawin, Prince Albert,
and Wakaw.
The proceeds from this year’s Fuel Good Day will directly support local non-profit
organizations and their efforts to strengthen the communities they serve:
* Air Ronge & La Ronge – Funds will go to the La Ronge Child Care Cooperative,
supporting quality childcare for local families.
* Big River – Proceeds will benefit the Big River Métis Local #59, which supports
community initiatives, like the Little River Jiggers youth dance group.
* Nipawin – Contributions will assist Handiworks, helping deliver essential
programs and opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
* Prince Albert – Three organizations will benefit: Hope’s Home, PAECIP, and the
YWCA Prince Albert, each providing vital services to children, families, and those
in need.
* Wakaw – Funds raised will support the Wakaw/Hoodoo Fire Department,
ensuring continued community safety.
Since its launch in 2017, Lake Country Co-op’s Fuel Good Day has raised $123,064.72
for local organizations, with the impact stretching far beyond our region. Collectively,
Co-ops across Western Canada have donated more than $4.9 million through this
initiative—proving the remarkable difference that can be made when communities come
together.
