Maidstone RCMP are advising the public of a road closure due to smoke obstructing Highway #16 between Marshall and Lashburn, and the resultant serious motor vehicle collisions. Traffic is currently backed up, and motorists are advised to find alternate routes. Detours will be established shortly. Visibility has been severely reduced and it is unknown how long it will take to complete the investigation and establish normal traffic conditions.
