On December 17, 2025 at approximately 6:15 p.m., Wollaston Lake RCMP received a report of a deceased male at a residence in Wollaston Lake.
Officers from Wollaston Lake RCMP immediately responded, confirmed the male was deceased, and secured the scene for further investigation.
The male has been identified as a 33-year-old male from Wollaston Lake. His family has been notified. We are not providing additional details about the male at this time.
The male’s death is currently considered suspicious. As a result, Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes has taken carriage of the investigation. Due to inclement weather and the remote location of the community, investigators travelled to Wollaston Lake and arrived on December 18.
Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes is asking anyone with information about this incident to report it immediately to their local police by dialling 310-RCMP.

Investigators advise there will be an increased police presence in Wollaston Lake for an undetermined amount of time.
